Tell us about what you’ve been up to! Has the business been growing?

In April 2024, PodReacher was acquired by Marketers in Demand, a holding company that owns two other agencies, Motion and New North. Shortly thereafter, PodReacher was relaunched and is now operating under a new brand and website — Spoke.

I first connected with the owners of Marketers in Demand when PodReacher was a fledgling agency. We helped shape Motion's show notes and worked with them in a white label capacity.

Marketers in Demand seemed like a great strategic fit since we work with similar clients and offer complementary services. Over the last six years, PodReacher customers have inquired about design, video and podcast production services, so it felt natural to add these offerings to what we do.

I won't deny that deciding to sell took months of soul-searching. But once it became clear that joining forces with the right partner was the best next step for growth, I didn’t look back.

From start to finish, the sale process took about 7 months. I am now an advisor for Spoke, but not involved in day-to-day operations. I knew I'd need time after the sale to reset and figure out my next steps since I was so focused on running the agency for the last few years. I am doing some short-term consulting work while I consider what's next. It has been a great change of pace and I'm enjoying this transitional time!
